Artist Statement

All of my life I have been drawn to colorful fiber.  Sewing, knitting, spinning, dyeing, weaving, or quilting have occupied my hands and heart from my earliest memories of childhood.   I love to dye, paint, cut, stitch and embellish cloth.   The inspiration for my art comes from observation and photographs of nature and family.  My eye takes in the details captured through the camera while my mind and hands make the transformation into colorful images made of cloth.
